This Week On the Samba Series I Uploaded A Less Compressed MP3 Version Of the Mix So The Quality & The Compatibility is Dynamic. I Started It off With Two Breaks one on the smooth Acoustic With Bongo Action & the Second on That Funk Tip. Next I Smoothed it out with some Samba on the Lovers Rock tip. Then I Played A Joint From a cat that I call the Brazilian Barry White. I Dropped Some Of That Funky Disco. After That I played some psychedelic samba rock from the 60's A funky track talking bout the train (this one has a break thats not to be missed) Then I played two back to back 70's Soul Bangers! (The Second has The Booty Slapping Drum watch out now) I picked it up with a disco track that will make ya get ya 'saturday night fever' on Then Smoothed It out on some Art Laboe Oldies Tip I Couldn't End The Mix by Putting Ya To Sleep So I Played A Grovy tune to Pump You Up! pLAy list: Como - Paulo Diniz Boi da Cara Branca - Helio Matheus Maior E Deus - Trio Mocoto Foi Um Sonho - Gerson combo Agora E Moda - Rita Lee Antes Que A Cidade Durma - Wanderlea

This Week On the Sunday Samba Series I brought the Props to all the Ladies that put it down for Brazilian music from the Acoustic Guitar of Rosinha De Valenca to the Sweet Vocals of Rita Lee. I Smoothed it out with that Jazzy Funk, Sambalicious Sounds & Sweet Soul.& just when you thought it was safe I ended this weeks Samba Series with 3 Sergio Mendez & Brazil 77 Covers of Stevie Wonder. Also this Sunday, MAY 2nd it's the 4TH ANNUAL "SIGHTS & SOUNDS OF DJ DUSK" event!
We would like to invite you to the fourth installment of the Sights and Sounds of DJ Dusk Art and Music Festival. We hope you will join us on Sunday May 2nd at 3 PM at the Mar Vista Family Center (MVFC) in Culver City. The event is FREE. All proceeds will go to the centers various art, music, and dance programs. We wish to raise enough to complete the multimedia room where the MVFC children can learn and improve their skills needed to compete in new Hi-Tec world. This is an all ages event and as Tarek “DJ Dusk” would say, ”It’s a family affair!”
